2025 Vintage: Things Are Looking Good at Beaulieu

Here in Samonac, we can feel it: 2025 is off to a great start. The vines are healthy, disease pressure is low, and even though a lot of neighboring vineyards have been left untended, ours are holding strong.
What’s made a real difference this year is the soil work. After several very wet seasons, our soils were compacted and tired. So we rolled up our sleeves, broke things up, improved drainage, and gave the roots space to breathe. Now the vines are soaking up nutrients like never before—and it shows.
Let’s be honest: the work never stops. We keep adjusting, changing our methods to keep up with the weather, which has been anything but predictable. But this year, everything feels a little smoother. Like it’s all clicking into place.
It’s still early, of course, but we’re feeling good. The berries are looking beautiful, the canopy is vibrant, and the balance is there. Now we just need things to hold until harvest.
Fingers crossed—we’re not letting go!
